FTP

The EnergyMech packages are available through FTP at: ftp://ftp.energymech.net/pub/energymech/

If you are downloading the package directly to your shell, the preferred way is to use FTP and get it from this ftp site. When transferring files through FTP, make sure that you are using BINARY mode transfers, not ASCII. Gzipped files will be corrupted if you use ASCII transfers (which is the default in much FTP software).

trivia question filerandtrivia.e.gz [ 1,062K ]

This needs to be unpacked into your randfiles/ directory, otherwise
the bot will report Bad Question File when you try and run trivia.

Version 2.8.5 Linux/x86 binary distribution.
The mech binary was compiled with the default options.

Version 2.9.4 (Development) source distribution.
This version has more features than 2.8, and possibly more bugs.
You will need the trivia file above if you want to play trivia.

Win32

We're no longer providing an EnergyMech Windows binary here. Noone in the regular EnergyMech team uses Windows for bots so we take no time updating any Win32 binaries after new source releases are made. See the links page for a link to a page where you can get an up to date version of a Win32 EnergyMech.
